Mattias came to OKOPOD looking for Work From Home Space Ideas

When designer Mattias moved to Croydon, London, in 2022, he sought a clear distinction between his home life and creative work. “The idea of having a space separate from our house where we can focus solely on projects has been a dream for a long time,” Mattias shared. After evaluating various options, he chose Okopod for its innovative designs and the seamless, low-disruption build process.

The idea of having a space separate from our house where we can focus solely on projects has been a dream for a long time.

For his backyard studio, Mattias opted for Kebony wood, renowned for its sustainability and resilience.

Developed in Norway, Kebony is an eco-conscious alternative to tropical hardwoods. Through a bio-based modification process, the wood’s cell walls are permanently altered, enhancing its dimensional stability, resistance, and durability. The result is a material that promises long life, safety, and virtually no maintenance. With its rich brown tones and minimal environmental footprint, the Kebony finish was the perfect choice for Mattias, offering both beauty and durability for years to come.

Mattias’s project is just one example of how our wood-framed solutions can transform your living and working spaces.
