Our client had long desired additional storage space in their garden but was concerned about the lack of side access, making traditional construction difficult. Fortunately, this was no issue for the Okopod team. Thanks to the modular design of our pods, we were able to easily carry the components through the house, proving that even tight spaces aren’t a barrier to creating your ideal garden room.

Efficient Modular Installation Process

Most of our Okopod arrive in modular parts, allowing for quick, on-site assembly through a straightforward 3-stage process over 7 days:

• Day 2: Electrics and roofing
• Day 3: Final touches and completion

Custom Design to Match the Home

For this project, the client opted for bespoke cladding that mirrored the frontage of their kitchen, tying the new garden structure to their home’s aesthetic.

A Green Roof that Blends with the Surroundings

One standout feature of this pod is its sedum roof, which allows the structure to blend effortlessly into the natural landscape of the park behind the garden. The sedum roof is a low-maintenance solution designed for green roofs, consisting of pre-grown slabs of vibrant, hardy flora embedded in a secure matting. Not only is this system easy to install, but it also provides a lush, green surface that requires minimal care while contributing to the eco-friendliness of the space.

Storage and Sauna: A Dual-Purpose Space

Though the primary purpose of the pod was for garden storage, the client also wanted to incorporate a custom sauna. Working in partnership with Inca UK, we integrated a bespoke sauna that fits perfectly within the pod’s design, adding a touch of luxury and creating a private relaxation retreat just steps from the home.
