In Cambridge, our client sought to transform an unused corner of their garden into a serene escape. They envisioned a space filled with natural light, seamlessly integrated with the surrounding landscape. Collaborating closely with landscape designers, we created a unique, bespoke shape that fits perfectly into the garden’s corner.

The reading room is a testament to innovative design and craftsmanship. This prefabricated structure, while unconventional in shape, is designed for quick assembly and minimal environmental impact. The design features cladding made using Yakisugi, a traditional Japanese wood preservation technique that enhances both aesthetic appeal and durability. Angled windows and doors, along with a fully glazed entrance, create a light-filled, connected space.
In an age where outdoor living is increasingly valued, the project exemplifies how thoughtful design and expert craftsmanship can meet contemporary needs to create a small space that conveys elegance and tranquillity.
