A Cozy Space for Relaxation Cambridge

Brief

The clients were looking for a multifunctional space—somewhere big enough to serve multiple purposes. They wanted a place where they could relax with a book, watch a movie, work from home, and even include a sauna. The result is a highly versatile pod that meets all of these needs.

One standout feature of this pod is the anthracite grey sliding aluminum doors and windows, which give it a modern, sleek look. There’s also an overhang detail paired with a sedum roof, which not only adds to the design but provides extra thermal insulation and promotes local biodiversity.

For the green roof, we use low-maintenance sedum matting, which is a pre-grown layer of vibrant, hardy plants. This matting is easy to install and requires minimal upkeep, providing the clients with a beautiful, green surface without a lot of effort. It’s a perfect solution for those who want to add a bit of nature to their garden without taking on more maintenance tasks.
