This summer, we had the pleasure of showcasing our Yakisugi Okopod garden room at the RHS Flower Show Tatton Park. Partnering with DMB Architects, the pod was part of ‘The 1804 Garden’, designed by the talented Carolyn Hardern and Jon Jarvis.
We were thrilled to be invited by the landscape designers to be a part of this year’s show, especially as the garden had a powerful message—raising awareness for skin cancer. ‘The 1804 Garden’ gets its name from the year melanoma was first mentioned in medical literature – 1804. The garden featured a striking corten sculpture at its center, surrounded by wildflower plantings, bee hives, bug hotels, and sitting rocks.
